This Woniry Bluetooth remote replaces the LG MR25GA Magic Remote and pairs with LG OLED, QNED, UHD, LED, and LCD smart TVs from 2019 onwards.

This is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) remote, not an IR remote, so it must be paired with the TV before it works.

How to pair this remote with your LG TV:

1. Switch on the TV using the original remote or the power button on the set, and stay on the home screen.
2. Insert two AAA batteries into the new remote (not included).
3. Hold the Wheel (centre scroll button) and Back buttons together for about 5 seconds until the LED on the remote starts blinking.
4. The TV will show 'Pair new remote' or detect the remote within 30 to 60 seconds.
5. Once the LED stops blinking and stays solid, the remote is paired. Test the volume button.

First-time tip: keep the remote within 30 cm of the TV during pairing. After pairing, it works from across the room.

If your TV is currently paired to a different remote, the new remote may need the TV to be in pairing mode (TV settings, Remotes and Accessories, Add new remote). Some LG TVs only allow one paired Magic Remote at a time. The pointer (cursor) function works after pairing. Voice search requires the TV to be connected to the internet and logged into LG account.

Q: Will this work with my 2018 LG TV?
A: The MR25GA works best with 2019 onwards models. Some 2018 sets may pair but voice features might be limited.

Q: Does the silicone cover come with the remote?
A: Yes, one black silicone cover is included in the box.

Q: My TV already has a Magic Remote paired. Will this one replace it?
A: Most LG TVs allow only one Magic Remote at a time. Go to TV settings, Remotes and Accessories, and unpair the old one before pairing this remote.

Q: Do I need internet for the remote to work?
A: Basic buttons (volume, channel, menu) work offline. Voice search and AI features need the TV connected to Wi-Fi and logged into an LG account.
