This is an infrared (IR) remote. It needs line of sight to the TV sensor, usually a small dark window at the bottom center of the screen. If you stand between the remote and the TV, the signal will not pass through you. Wipe dust off the sensor window if buttons stop responding.
These Kodak Linux TVs share the same IR code set, so one remote handles both models. Not compatible with Kodak Android TVs or voice remotes, which use different button layouts and signal protocols.
