This Woniry remote replaces the infrared controller for Godrej split and window air conditioners sold between 2015 and 2024. Works with the following series: GSC / GIC / GSI / GWI 12, 15, 18, and 24 models with WYQ or i-Sense functions, plus 5-in-1 Convertible and Eco Mode units.

In the box: one remote body. Batteries not included (requires two AAA cells).

How to use: pop in two AAA batteries (not included). Point at the AC indoor unit sensor and press a button. That is the whole setup.

Button layout mirrors the original: Mode, Fan Speed, Swing, Timer, Turbo, Sleep, Eco, and i-Sense if your model supports it. Temperature range is the same (16 to 30 degrees Celsius).

Honest note: this remote does not work with Godrej portable AC units or older 2012-2014 models that use a different IR code set. If your original remote has a display screen showing current room temperature, this replacement will not have that screen (the AC itself still shows temp on the indoor unit). The i-Sense button will only work if your AC hardware already has the i-Sense feature built in.

[[FAQ]]

Q: Will this work with my Godrej 1.5 ton split AC?
A: Yes, if your model code starts with GSC, GIC, GSI, or GSA and was made after 2015. Check the model sticker on the indoor unit.

Q: Does it need pairing like a TV remote?
A: No. This is an IR remote. Insert batteries, point, press.

Q: My AC has 5-in-1 Convertible mode. Does this remote support it?
A: Yes. The Mode button cycles through Cool, Fan, Dry, Auto, and the tonnage conversion steps if your AC supports 5-in-1.

Q: What if the remote does not respond at all?
A: Check battery polarity. Stand within 5 metres and point directly at the indoor unit sensor (usually a small dark window below the display). If still no response, your AC may be from a series with a different IR protocol.

Q: How long do batteries last?
A: About 8 to 10 months with normal daily use (two AAA alkaline cells).
