Original Carrier Flexi Cool RG56CMI-B0 AC Remote

This Woniry replacement remote works with Carrier split air conditioners in the Flexi Cool and Superia series, covering 1 ton, 1.5 ton, and 2 ton units that originally came with model codes RG56CMI-B0, RG56CMI-B1, or RG56CMI-B2.

What is in the box: one remote controller. Batteries are not included. You will need two AAA cells.

How to use: Pop in two AAA batteries (not included). Point at the AC indoor unit sensor and press a button. That is the whole setup.

The remote uses infrared, so keep a clear line of sight between the remote and the AC unit sensor (usually on the right side of the indoor unit below the display panel). All common functions are present: mode (cool, fan, dry, auto), temperature up and down, fan speed, swing, timer, sleep, and turbo.

One thing to know: if your original remote was a different model number outside the RG56CMI family, button positions may differ slightly even if the remote powers on the AC. The three codes listed here are direct matches. Other Carrier remotes (like RG57 series or older models) are not guaranteed compatible.

A: Yes, if your original remote was RG56CMI-B0, B1, or B2. Check the back label of your old remote for the model code.

Q: Do I need to program this remote?

Q: My AC is 5 years old. Will this remote still work?
A: The RG56CMI series has been in use since around 2018. If your original remote matches one of those three codes, this will work.

Q: What if the swing button does not respond?
A: Some older Carrier units do not support remote-controlled swing. Try the button on the AC itself. If that also does not work, the feature may not be available on your model.

Q: Can I use rechargeable AAA batteries?
A: Yes. NiMH rechargeable AAA cells (1.2V) work fine. Range may be slightly shorter than alkaline, but most users do not notice a difference indoors.
